Sam Farr II is a human who loves to geek out over exercise and everything that involves moving heavy objects. He has expanded the minds of students at temple university since 2012 and plans to do so for years to come. While he started out as an endurance athlete - running, biking, and swimming wherever he could - he figured out that a barbell was actually his favorite thing. He currently competes in powerlifting and plans on using that to succeed in world domination soon. When not working out or teaching people about working out, he is busy eating, attempting to be an accomplished writer, and making people laugh with whatever antics he can muster.

Her love for all of the multifaceted offerings of yoga began to blossom after her first Vinyasa teacher training. Her decision to continue her teaching journey centered on her desire to share the holistic connections experienced during her own personal practices. Dana completed the 200 hour Inform Your Flow Teacher Training with Teagan Schweitzer ready to manifest her teaching vision and share her light with the Philadelphia yoga community. I originally went to college to save the world. I studied the intersection of art and politics at Sarah Lawrence, but something happened. I wasn’t able to enact the change I wanted to see. Disheartened, I realized that transformation doesn’t have to begin with a social or political movement, but with movement and healing on a personal level. So I went back to Yoga, which I had stumbled upon at the age of 14. I went back to dance and I discovered Capoeira, which changed my life, and I studied therapeutic massage. I wanted to make the world a better place by connecting to the people around me. In dance (and Pilates)I learned physical intelligence, core control and expressive movement. In Capoeira I learned that I could be knocked down only to rise even if it meant standing on my hands. With yoga, I found breath, reassurance and truth. From there I continued my studies with Thai yoga bodywork, prenatal massage, Aerial and AcroYoga and now, motherhood. I have taught in Philadelphia since 2009 and in Casablanca Morocco - where I lived for 3 years.

The best part of my day is when I’m in the gym training, and it is my goal to make it the best part of every member's day. I have been coaching and competing locally in crossfit for almost three years now and it is something I genuinely love. It is a great outlet for me to nerd out over scientific principles while also helping others, which has always been something that is important to me.
Elliot first got into yoga while working as a stable-hand after finishing his Master’s degree in literature. He would wake early, throw breakfast hay to the horses, and try to picture how a balanced, fulfilling life might look. During the years since he has found that the more yoga he does, the more interesting, challenging and frankly, fun, the practice becomes. His classes are great places for students to press safely against their boundaries without feeling lost or overwhelmed. He believes that if a student challenges themselves responsibly, it is possible to find one’s way into motions and postures that seemed out of reach; although more to the point, it is the self-trust, physical strength, and mental balance that slowly arise from this practice that transcend the mat and enrich life as a whole.
Elliot has completed advanced trainings in therapeutically-oriented yoga. Besides teaching, he works as a photographer in the Philadelphia area. He is happy to do work that he loves every day.
Samantha (Sam) commonly refers to herself as a reformed couch potato. She credits health and fitness as huge factors in restoring focus and motivation into all aspects of her life. Sam comes from a background in 1-on-1 personal training, by having secured her certified personal trainer license through the national academy of sports medicine (NASM). She has enjoyed her transition into group fitness and has also obtained her CrossFit Level 1 certificate and USAW Level 1 in the process. Sam prides herself in taking a non-judgmental approach to fitness and hopes to inspire her clients and athletes to use fitness as a concept for personal growth while developing habits that lead to an attainable and sustainable lifestyle. For the everyday exerciser fitness should be fun, Sam embodies this idea by being the best light-hearted genuine goofball that she can be.
Maria Sylvester Terry has always known one thing about herself - she likes to keep moving. She’s hiked six states of the Appalachian Trail, run several long distances races, and taught group fitness classes since 2009. When a hiking injury stopped her in her tracks in 2011, she was limited to only practicing and teaching yoga. This was, of course, a blessing in disguise, and yoga introduced her to a new love for anatomy, mind-body connection, and mental resilience. Teaching yoga to athletes is a particular passion for Maria, for she feels yoga has made her a stronger athlete physically and mentally. In addition to teaching yoga, Maria is also a graduate student at Drexel University studying Human Nutrition.
In Maria’s classes, students of all levels can expect to feel welcome, challenged, and encouraged to explore new possibilities on the mat. She plans creative, cohesive flows that honor tradition (think body-warming sun salutations) and support functional movement and strength training (because planks are fun!). Maria also incorporates carefully curated playlists and thoughtful mantras for on and off your mat.

Hi! My name is Natasha, but I also answer to Tasha or Tash. I have been active my whole life and was always playing some sort of sport. I went to Rider University where I played Division I field hockey. After becoming a retired college athlete, I found a new passion in CrossFit. I could spend hours in the gym trying to perfect my skills and get as strong as possible. I love how much CrossFit challenges me and the friendships it builds.
I also LOVE food. I am often found talking/fantasizing about food. I believe that food is something that can connect all people and I hope that I can share my love and knowledge of food.
Coaching others, whether in field hockey, CrossFit, or nutrition, is something that is very important to me. I love being able to make a positive difference in people's lives and continue to build lasting friendships doing what I love.
